Media Player Installation Tutorial

 

1. Click on the button below to go to Microsoft’s Media Player download site or manually enter http://windowsmedia.com/download in your browser.

Scroll down the page and click the DOWNLOAD NOW button that corresponds to your operating system. Note that only Windows XP, 98 Second Edition, Me and 2000 are supported.

 

 

2. Click the SAVE button to save the file on your computer.

 

 

3. Navigate to your Local Disk (C:) and click the CREATE NEW FOLDER icon on the top of the file box and name the new folder MediaPlayer. Click OPEN to navigate to that folder.

 

 

4. In the new MediaPlayer folder you created, save the setup file by clicking SAVE.

 

 

5. The progress bar shows that you are downloading the file.

 

 

6. From your desktop click on MY COMPUTER and navigate to your Local Disk (C:).

 

 

7. From your Local Disk (C:) click on the MediaPlayer folder.

 

 

8. Double click on the MPSetup file to start the installation process.

 

 

9. Click “I AGREE” to continue installation.

 

 

10. The progress bars indicate the files being installed on your computer.

 

 

11. Click NEXT to start the installation wizard.

 

 

12. Review the Privacy Option checkboxes below. You may choose additional selections, but select these at a minimum.

13. Choose the options you prefer.

 

 

14. You have now successfully installed the new Media Player. Next you should install NetPiano™ Player.
