1. This tutorial shows how to connect your computer to a
Pianomation™ 2000CD using a standard computer cable. QRS
also offers a wireless solution described on the
QRS website.
If you have a desktop computer, locate the
sound jacks on the rear panel. The audio out jack is usually green, this is the
jack that your speakers would be plugged in to.

2. If you have a notebook computer there may be only one or two
jacks, usually located on the side or rear of the computer. The sound output
jack is usually identified by a drawing of headphones or a speaker.

3. Using a standard computer audio connection cable, insert the
mini-plug into the audio output jack. The sound files that play the piano have
a specially encoded sound like the chirping of a modem on one channel, and the
other channel has the background track, if any.

4. Plug the white RCA audio jack from the cable into the jack on
the rear of your QRS Pianomation player labeled AMI
Input.
5. The red RCA plug carries the audio accompaniment. This connects
to the amplified speaker on your piano or to your audio system.
6. Turn on your QRS unit by pressing the red button. Next you need
to switch your player from CD mode to Line Input mode so it will
play the signal coming in from your computer by pressing the F1 key on your
remote control until Ln appears in the window
of the Pianomation unit.
You are now ready to move on to the next
tutorial, play your first song.
